Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern your use of the Doorman app for macOS and iOS and of get-doorman.com, provided by Kratzenstein Holding UG (haftungsbeschränkt) (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@get-doorman.com.
2. The app
Doorman is a mail client. It connects to mail accounts you choose and works with your mail on your device. Doorman is in early access: features may change, and it is provided free of charge for now. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
3. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use Doorman on devices you own or control. You may not resell the app, reverse engineer it beyond what the law permits, or use it to break the law or other people's rights.
4. Your accounts and other services
- You are responsible for the mail accounts, passwords, API keys and devices you use with Doorman, and for keeping them secure.
- Doorman relies on services you choose: your mail providers, and, if you enable them, AI providers (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) and a spam-filter endpoint. Their own terms and prices apply. AI usage is billed to you by the AI provider under your API key.
- You must have the right to access the mailboxes you connect.
5. AI features and agents
- Summaries, triage, briefs, reply suggestions and drafts are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Check them before you rely on them, especially before sending.
- Doorman does not send a message written by its agent or by a connected MCP client until you approve it. If you deliberately allow MCP clients to send without approval, you are responsible for what they send.
- Do not use Doorman to send spam, to deceive people, or for anything unlawful.
6. Availability
We work to keep Doorman reliable but cannot guarantee that it is free of errors or always available, or that third-party services keep working with it. Keep your own backups; your mail itself remains with your mail provider.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes proper use of the app possible and on which you may rely), limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time. Otherwise our liability is excluded. These limits also apply to our employees and agents.
8. Ending use
You can stop using Doorman at any time by removing your accounts and uninstalling the app. We may end the early-access program or discontinue the app with reasonable notice.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the app changes. We will tell you about material changes in the app or on this website before they take effect; continuing to use Doorman afterwards means you accept them.
10. Law and jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live remain unaffected.
11. Privacy
How Doorman handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
